Friends-
Walking by faith means not always knowing where you are going. It means trusting that God has got a better view of things than you have. It means carrying on with the work you believe God called you to, even when that call seems faint or totally gone. It means not caving under pressure to do what seems easier or more expedient, when deep in your heart you know what is right.
Walking by faith means sometimes you can't plan ahead. It means sometimes you are asked to do things that everyone else says is just plain nuts. It is about being willing to take risks, staking yourself to a life that seems impossible, and would be, if you tried it alone.
Jesus invites us to follow him. He invites us to walk by faith. Moment by moment, and day by day. It is often not glamorous, and often lonely. But Oh! The rewards we are promised!
What is facing you right now? What is challenging your faith? Trust God. Don't trust your own understanding. He can be relied on. Walk by faith.

11/20 - Thanksgiving Worship Service
- Decorate the church for Christmas
11/27 - First Sunday in Advent
- Congregational Meeting to make budget decisions following worship service.
Wednesdays - Every Wednesday:
- Sanctuary open for quiet prayer and reflection - 5:30- 7:30 PM
- Explorers - 5:00 - 5:45 PM - For children 6 years and above. Church basement.
- Adult Bible Study - 6-7:30 PM - topical studies, meets in the church office.
Thursdays - 11/3 - Church Board Meeting - 7 PM - Church Fellowship Room
- No community dinner this month
Other News:
Explorers - This late afternoon time for children to learn about the Jesus and the Bible is back! Meeting on Wednesday from 5:00 - 5:45 PM in the church basement. Any child 6 years and older is welcome! Talk to Colleen if you have questions. Starts November 2.
Open Sanctuary - The open sanctuary has been moved to Wednesday nights from 5:30 - 7:30 PM. Stop in for a quiet time of prayer and reflection. Any one is welcome. Come for a few minutes or for the 2 hours if you want!
Decorating for Christmas - We will decorate the church for Christmas after fellowship on Sunday November 20. All hands needed! Thanks!
Congregational Meeting - Plan on staying on Sunday November 27 for a short congregational meeting. Budget decisions will be made.
Blue Barrel - November is the perfect month to share groceries with those who don't have enough. When you are shopping for your Thanksgiving dinner, why not buy some extras!
Upper Room devotionals are available for November/December. Be sure to pick up a copy to take home.
Congratulations to Phil and Kathleen Newhouse on the arrival of Oliver William on Oct. 24! Grandparents are Tim and Judy Murphy. Great Uncle and Aunt are Bruce and Ginny Johnson.
