What's your job description?
As a follower of Jesus I mean...
Most of us have at least some sort of rudimentary idea of what our job description would be for the work we do in the world: engineer, teacher, mom, etc.
But what is it for the work we do for him, for Jesus, in the world?
For a long time I have believed that our job description is LOVE: Love God, love each other, love the stranger, love your enemies, you know... Love. Appropriate as we head into the month known for Valentines Day.
And I don't mean feel loving... I mean love as a verb, as something you do! Why not make this February a month when we actually love- when we go out of our way to show love to others, even- and especially- those we don't know or don't like, or don't like us. Challenging? You bet! But, Oh! What an adventure!
It's all right there in your job description... "...by this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another..." Jesus to his disciples (John 13:34).
I don't know about you, but I can't wait for the month to begin, so I can get started! Come to think of it, maybe I'll start now...

reading and discussing a book called God Does by Bob Goff. Please talk to Gary if interested in coming.
Thursday February 19 - Serving of Community Dinner at Poplar Grove Methodist - Talk to Sandy Free if interested.
Sunday February 22 - Adult Bible Study 9:15 am.
- Worship Service - 10:30 am.
- Hiking (really just a nice walk in the woods ) after fellowship hour. Plan on joining us.

Flowers for the Sanctuary - Choose a month to bring real or artificial flowers or some kind of décor for the sanctuary. Sign up in the fellowship room. If you would like to take February please contact Jennifer. We could use you starting this Sunday.
Donations - Donate food or paper goods to our blue barrel, or donate baby items to our clothing basket.
Community Dinner - February 19- Our chance to help prepare and serve food at the Poplar Grove Church, see Sandy Free if interested.
