Friends -
As I write this, it is a sad day in the Schwerin household. Jennifer moved my sandals from the front door to be put away upstairs in the closet. Yes, Fall has arrived! Let's hope we get a few more of those beautiful warm days like we recently had! It was a wonderful summer for us, thanks to all of you who made it possible for us to take a sabbatical. We are so grateful for everyone's generosity, prayers, and support. What a blessing! I will admit that summer is my favorite season. And God has shown me that each season- yes, even winter! - has beauty and value. We need to take each day, each moment as a gift, and to accept it just as it is. We should be excited and eager to see what He will do among us in the coming days, weeks, and months. The days will be getting shorter and colder, but the fires in our spirits can burn bright. And it won't be long before I will be moving those sandals back down to the front door...
