To bring the love of Christ and the joy of fellowship to others
We value community: Whether you are new to the church or have been here for almost a hundred years, we want you to feel like we are part of family. We think that being part of us means you will love and value others, and that others will feel the same about you.
We value service: We want to be identified as the people who are always ready and available to help where help is needed.
We value uniqueness: We understand that everyone is at a different place in many different aspects of their life. We want to be welcoming, accepting, and encouraging no matter where you are.
We value growth: We believe in lifelong learning and that becoming a better person involves learning through teaching, study, and small groups. We desire for our statement of faith to provide the framework for that growth. We also believe that growth will produce increased participation and commitment to God and to the local congregation.
Statement of Faith
Our statement of faith is captured primarily in the apostle's creed, which is:
We believe in God, the Father almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and buried;
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
He ascended in heaven,
He is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and He will come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
Amen
